24/01/2025, Bowring Institute, Bangalore, India NUTRICON 2025, held at the prestigious Bowring Institute in Bangalore, concluded with tremendous success. Hosted by Ultimate You, an innovative nutraceutical brand under the banner of Mama’s Creation Private Limited, the event brought together thought leaders in nutrition and healthcare to discuss advancements that are reshaping the industry.

Organized in collaboration with Sagar Chandramma Hospitals and the Indian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN), the conference served as a platform for unveiling cutting-edge research and practical solutions in clinical and consumer-focused nutrition. This partnership set a new standard for collaboration in the quest for better health and wellness.

The conference commenced with an enlightening keynote by Namratha Pramod, High-Performance Analyst at the Sports Authority of India (SAI). She delved into the significance of circadian rhythms and chrononutrition, focusing on the timing, frequency, and regularity of meals to optimize health. The IFPRI 2025 report noted that 38% of Indians consume processed and junk foods, leading to disrupted eating patterns and increased risks of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Chrononutrition offers a transformative approach to mitigating these risks.

Rinki Kumari, Senior Dietitian at Fortis Hospital, emphasized the importance of personalized nutrition in post-surgical recovery. She highlighted how tailored interventions, such as total parenteral nutrition (TPN), enhance outcomes for surgeries like Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). She also addressed the unique stress-related nutritional challenges faced by remote workers, advocating for targeted solutions to improve their well-being.

The event also featured Akshith Reddy, Co-founder of Ultimate You, who shed light on India’s critical nutrient deficiencies. According to the Journal of Nutrition, over 70% of Indians suffer from vitamin D deficiency, and iron deficiency anemia impacts 53% of women. With India’s nutraceutical market projected to grow to $18 billion by 2025, Akshith emphasized the urgent need for innovation to address these gaps.

Ultimate You’s product line—Ultimate Greens, Glow, Collagen, Fiber, and Daily Whey—was presented as a response to these challenges. Designed for modern lifestyles, these products tackle specific nutritional needs, aligning with global trends like plant-based proteins and gut health supplements. Findings from the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health reinforce the importance of simplifying nutrition to encourage better dietary habits and improved health outcomes.

“In today’s world, where decision fatigue often leads to unhealthy choices, simplifying nutrition is critical. At Ultimate You, we strive to make wellness accessible by combining modern scientific advancements with traditional wisdom,” said Akshith.

The focus on women’s health was further explored by Sreemathy Venkatraman, Chief Dietitian at Trustwell Hospital, who highlighted the estrobolome’s role in hormone regulation and gut health. Drawing from an NCBI report, she demonstrated how dietary interventions and gut health supplements could support oestrogen metabolism and enhance the gut-brain connection, offering significant benefits for women’s wellness.

Madhumitha Krishnan, Consultant with CABHN at TDU, presented a compelling case for integrating Ayurveda with modern nutritional science. She emphasized Ayurveda’s focus on personalized nutrition, digestion (Agni), and constitution (Prakruthi) in promoting health and preventing illness. According to the World Health Organization, 70–80% of the global population relies on herbal remedies, underscoring Ayurveda’s relevance in today’s wellness landscape.

As NUTRICON 2025 concluded, it reaffirmed its commitment to advancing nutritional science and fostering collaborations that promote healthier lifestyles. The event provided a roadmap for future innovations and encouraged dialogue to address global health challenges.
